There are two basic methods used today for SEO or search engine optimization. SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engine results via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Search engine optimization can be done just one web page at a time, or an entire site can be submitted for SEO by use of a sitemap. In reality, all a person really needs to do is submit just the home page of a web site for SEO to be successful. With just the home page, most search engines are able to crawl a site, provided that it is well designed. Most websites want to be listed in popular search engines, because in time, their website will show up in search engine results and most people seek products and services on the web, using a search engine. Websites that appear on the first page of a search are usually referred to "The Top 10".
Everyone's goal for SEO is to have their page/website appear in the top 10. This is because people are unlikely to look over more than one page of search results. In order to have good placement in the various search engines, people must optimize their web pages by using SEO. Many variables are involved with SEO, such as the placement and density of desirable keywords, the hierarchy structure of web pages (i.e., How many clicks from the home page are required to access a particular web page), and the number of web pages that link to a given web page. As you can see good search engine optimization uses a combination of factors.
In addition to search engine optimization (SEO), the Google search engine also uses a concept called Page Rank. Page Rank relies on the uniquely broad nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives. For example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are "important" and have a high Page Rank weigh more heavily and help make other pages "important". If page A has a page rank of 10 and is linked to page B who's page rank is only a 3, it will help page B be seen as more important to Google and help increase their Page Rank and search engine optimization overall, since Page Rank and search engine optimization are all tied together. Page Rank and search engine optimization are key to showing up in the top 10.

Some people say affiliate marketing would be the best way. Spend a day doing some research....look at Google Trends. See what's hot. See what kinds of affiliate products you can promote that are related to your trending niche. Start getting your link out there. Forums, blogs, Yahoo Answers, write articles, etc.

Making money with PTC is not hard all. In fact, it's the easiest way to make money online that I have ever come across (and believe me, I've tried a lot of "make money online" schemes). Once you are on their homepage, you simply click the Register button, and then follow the simple sign up form. After you have signed up, you can go to the "Browse Ads" section of the website. Once there you will be shown a list of links to websites. Every time you click on one of these sites a new tab will pop up on your browser, and you will make between $.01 and$.03.
